Welcome to
UK-Canada matchmaking for Canada-UK Ocean Technologies Competition
Welcome to the virtual matchmaking platform for prospective UK and Canadian applicants to the Canada-UK Ocean Technologies Competition.
Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation, is working with Canada’s Ocean Supercluster to invest a combined total up to £4 million in innovation projects that can involve a collaboration of industry and academia. The funding will support projects to deliver innovative outcomes in ocean technology. Innovate UK will fund UK partners to collaborate with Canadian partners as co-funding counterparts on industrial research projects, over a 12 month period.
This b2match platform is your chance to find potential co-applicants to the competition, from the UK and/or Canada, by posting a profile about your innovation and arranging 1-2-1 online meetings.
The platform is open to eligible ocean tech companies from both the UK and Canada. The competition opened on 11 September and closes on 18 October.
For full details of the competition, please follow this link: https://apply-for-innovation-funding.service.gov.uk/competition/1712/overview/500ed7aa-b76a-4784-8a85-619975b5353c#summary.
Please note: this platform does not constitute an application to the competition – it is for finding potential partners only. Use the link above to learn more.
How it works
It’s easy – simply complete your online profile here and start messaging other potential partners to arrange meetings.
Unlike other b2match events based around a limited fixed day or two of face-to-face networking, this virtual event is fully-flexible and open until the competition closes on 18 October - meetings can take place from today.
Simply arrange a video call with potential partners using this website, or email to schedule a virtual meet via your preferred platform.
Does it cost anything?
No. The b2match platform is entirely free to use. We will however be asking for feedback on the site and to learn if you found a suitable partner using b2match, once the applications have closed.
